I am here as an alumnus of Patika Web3 and Near Bootcamp. In this article, I would like to share with you my experiences and general impressions of the process during the Patika Near Bootcamp.
First of all, I want you to know that my formal education wasn’t on computer science and digital technologies. My interest in digital technologies has existed since my childhood. I have been attending trainings for years and using internet resources for my education. One of the problematic issues that I felt most during these years of education was that my educations was not systematic and it was like a puzzle structured. At a time when I was thinking about this, I discovered the Patika team and their educations as a result of my research. With its systematic structure, the education offered both to keep you on a single line and pave the way for you to improve yourself by giving you the fundamentals. I have to admit I totally fell in love with Patika!
After examining the general structure of the education for a while, I started with a high appetite and without wasting any time. At a time when I was close to completing half of the Beginner Front-End Education Course, I came across the bootcamp program and made my application. There were many ongoing bootcamps at that time, however I did not apply to any of them. The reason I applied for Near Bootcamp was that I have been in crypto markets for more than 6 years and I have mastered the theoretical foundations of Blockchain. At the same time, I had a Web 3.0 project idea which I had been constructing for a long time in the folds of my brain. I thought there couldn’t be a better start. I was not mistaken!
The bootcamp does not require you to have a fundamentally strong software and coding background (Likewise, I didn’t have much). However, having a basic knowledge of the JavaScript typing structure will speed up your process because smart contracts running on Near Blockchain are coded in AssemblyScript and Rust languages. The AssemblyScript language, which you will use through the course, is very close to the typing of JavaScript.
The education consists of two stages. In the first part, the basic concepts and structures related to Web 3.0, Blockchain and Smart contracts are covered. It is aimed to establish a general frame in the minds of the participants. Thus, the participant is ready for a detailed training on the way to become a Certified Near Developer.

In the second part, what it means to be a Certified Near Developer and the project standard requested at the end of the bootcamp are expressed. Then the structure, actively used elements and typing of AssemblyScript, which is one of the two languages that enable smart contract development in Near Blockchain, are explained. At this stage, it will be very useful for you to increase your knowledge of the AssemblyScript language and speed up your education process by using free internet resources. The last part you will learn before building your project will be the technical details of Near blockchain and smart contracts. After the theoretical education, you wil jump into the part where the sample projects are examined, and this is the stage where you understand how the pieces fall into place and how the theoretical structures you learned are used practically.
You are now more than ready to start building your own project!
Your project idea doesn’t have to be about rocket science or solving the World’s global problems. In order to become a certified developer, what is expected from you is to actively use the structures you have learned (which are specifically mentioned in the education) in your project. So it’s okay to keep it simple.
Moreover, Patika’s support continues during the process of the education and developing your project. After completing your education, the Patika team includes you in a team with other participants who are at a similar level to you. While developing your project, you can exchange ideas with your team and think about technical problems together. It is really valuable to feel the support of a great community and environment where you can share all your technical problems while maintaining your active communication through the Discord channel.
As a result, I must say that it was so productive educational process in many respects for me. If you are interested in these topics, please don’t hesitate to start the educations and to be part of the Patika family!
You may delay, but time will not.
